Reading Gifted Hands

For our first blogpost, I want to know what part of Gifted Hands you found most interesting. Describe it and then, tell us what you learned from this event or section that you can use in your own life.

Whenever you write on the blog, be sure to use complete sentences with good punctuation, capitalization, and spelling. This answer will require at least two or three sentences to be complete and answer both parts of the question. This assignment is due Friday, August 16th.

  2. I thought the most interesting part of he book was when he couldn't catch up on what they had been learning that semester. What you can use in life from this is you can do whatever you set your mind to!

  3. I thought the most interesting part of the story was when he talked about the concept "Think Big".
I learned that if you really want to do well on an assignment or project is just that you should think big.

  4. My favorite parts were all the cases of the craniopagus twins and the operations done on them. Though alought of them died, I thought it was very interesting that newborns could be born like that. My favorite one was the Makwaeba twins. Though they did die, the equipment used for the surgery stayed in South Africa, and the doctors in the hospital there were able to save many more lives.

  6. I thought that the piece about him being able to face racial slurs was most definitely the best, see I think that it is the most inspiring chapter simply because anyone who can take slurs like that is extremely courageous. Doctor Ben Carson's life is well simply put, inspiring I think his story is purely amazing(especially the chapter about him dealing with his anger issues.)

  15. My favorite parts about the Ben Carson Story are the many times God saved his life and gave him the ability to save other people's lives as well. The first time that God saved Ben's life is when he fell asleep when he was driving. Luckily, he woke up just in time to avoid being hit by a tractor trailer! The second time God helped him is when it was the night before a big test and he didn't know any of the answers. When he fell asleep, he had a strange dream that told him the answers to all the questions. After he got his doctors degree, he decided to be a brain surgeon. One day he was asked to separate two Siamese twins. Ben and his team worked for hours. When they came out , Ben handed the twins mother two separate babies. All this comes to prove that God has a plan for us and is always there for you. I will trust in God and follow his plan.
