Happy Holidays!

Now that Thanksgiving is over, we are headed into the Christmas season. Write a good paragraph describing your family's holiday traditions. Do you always go to a particular house? Do you eat at a particular restaurant? Do you always see a new movie or go caroling? Tell us about your holidays.

  1. Usually during the Christmas holidays my Dad puts up this poster he draws to mark the days off until Christmas day. All of us try to decorate a Christmas tree when we can. On Christmas day we wait until at least six in the morning to rush down and open our stockings and presents. Also my Mom usually makes either pancakes or waffles and sometimes something else. That is how my family celebrates Christmas!

  2. During the Christmas holidays, my family spends time over one anothers homes. At our house my mom allows me to open one present on Christmas Eve. This is a tradition we celebrate every Christmas. We usually do last minute Christmas shopping during the holidays, go to the movies, and eat out. One celebration that brings our family together is Kwanzaa. We all go to my aunts home, eat,and discuss the 7 principles of Kwanzaa.

Then I run to the living room (where the Christmas tree and presents are). After that we call our grandparents to join us. When they come to our house it's present opening time! Our stockings our full of candy and other goods!

While we open our presents my mom takes pictures of us. Finally we have a special Christmas brunch. My mother bakes and cooks delicious food. while eating our brunch we talk about what we got. Sometimes we play our games after brunch. After those games our grandparents leave. Then we spend the rest of the day having a blast!

My family's tradition on christmas is to put up lights and ornaments. On our christmas tree and our house. I usuaully do the christmas tree. I always do the lights in a different order. Like red, blue, green, and white. I put them spirling down the tree. Then my mom puts the angel on top. My brother puts the rug underneath. My cat lays on the rug to keeps gard for the presents with a styling red bow. Everbody helps to put the ornaments that we made out of paint, and some we got here and there. My favorite one is the bunny acting like Sants Clause. Thankyou for reading my post.

But me and my brothers wake each other up and come jump in my mom and dads bed and wake them up. We take turns opening presents because we like to see what each other gets. Its always a surprise. Then our friend Chuck Ross always comes to our house for Christmas lunch, so my dad goes and picks him while my mom gets the food ready. After our lunch we just hang until its time to go see a movie. We love going to the movies with our friends on Christmas night. And thats my Christmas.

We usually go to the same neighborhoods to look at Christmas lights where all of the houses are very brightly decorated! We go to a candlelight service at our church where we sing hymns and celebrate the birth of Jesus. My sister comes over and helps decorate our Christmas tree. Finally Christmas comes and my sister and brother-in-law come over for Christmas dinner and to open presents with us.
