What Does This Mean to You?

On page 86 of The Hero's Trail, the author quotes from the Talmud, "Whatever you take, you will someday lose. But whatever you give, you will always have."

In a few sentences, explain what this quote means to you. Give an example if possible.

  12. I agree with lee18. I think what T.A. Barron meant was if were selfish and don't give to people who are less fortunate then us we will lose it all but, if we give to them and are not selfish we will gain everything we need for the rest of our life.

  15. It's great to receive, but giving a giver shows how much you care and sometimes if you give it's a greater gift in return. ex. "Treasure in an Oatmeal box". The relationship between Mr. Matthews and Kevin all because of the wooden dog.

  22. To me, I think it is better to give than to receive. If a person is always taking they never have anything to give. Giving always comes back as a gift. The gift of love is an example - the more you give it and show it, the more it comes back to you.
